MORE ABOUT ME

My journey into the realm of design began during my university years. Starting in 2017, I simultaneously pursued a Bachelor of Creative Arts with a major in Graphic Design and a Diploma in IT. While studying, I developed my design skills through freelance work, and gained practical experience working for a printing company - producing bright funky personalised stickers and giftware for children and pets. Beyond design, this involved UV printing and resin techniques, vinyl cutting, fabric printing, and heat pressing.

I have now been freelancing for over 5 years. Beginning alongside the part time printing job, I originally specialised in developing unique logos and accompanying branding collateral for small businesses. In 2020, amidst the global challenges of COVID-19 lockdowns, I seized the opportunity to expand my business, and launched my own online store where I showcased a collection of whimsical illustrations and portraits on stickers, bookmarks, bags, prints, etc. This even led me to a street exhibition in Globe Lane last year.

Now, equipped with a rich educational background and a wealth of hands-on experience, I find myself channelling my creativity into a noble cause. In 2022, I joined the team at Weld Australia, a non-profit organisation, as a full time Graphic Designer. Here, I dedicate my skills to developing educational resources. I create illustrations that simplify complex concepts, and develop animations that breathe life into theory and practical welding and fabrication content. I am the sole architect behind these graphic elements, working alongside a video editor and a team of content experts to bring the MEM Resources project to life. In my first 12 months working on this project, the resources won awards, both nationally and internationally.

I contribute to these resources beyond document design, illustration, and animation - I have designed and developed some course packages, including both theory and practical content, for lessons and assessment tasks, along with compliance mapping to nationally recognised training program specifications. I have developed a real passion for educational design, and therefore am undertaking a formal qualification in the field - by December 2025, I will have completed a Cert IV in Training and Assessment, and hope to further progress my career in design for education.

The cheesy ‘Graphic Design is my passion’ mantra rings true for me - while devoting myself to my full-time position with Weld Australia, I still take on some freelance projects in my spare time, and am always tinkering away on something creative for myself. Please don’t hesitate to reach out if you’d like to work together in a freelance capacity.
